Speaking first and foremost

C.P.A.B. takes a firm stand with regard to the multitude of teaching methods, techniques and strategies available today.  Its choice is SPEECH, the starting point for all language learning.  Once you have a good knowledge of the spoken word, the written language, grammar and syntax will follow.  This choice has confirmed C.P.A.B.'s superiority for 40 years.

Man and machine

Focusing on speech does not exclude high-performance technology, such as language laboratories and dvd's.  However, unlike many other schools or "mass institutions", C.P.A.B. never leaves the student alone in front of the machine.  Whether in the laboratory, at the video or elsewhere, the teacher asks questions, solicits responses, constantly encourages dialogue and speech, thereby forcing the student to use the target language.

Uniform groups

Upon registering, each student takes a test to determine the level of his/her knowledge.  This enables the teaching staff to assign students to groups of the right level.  The classes are deliberately small - from 8 to 16 people - so that each student's progress may be followed more closely.

Computer Aided Language Learning

This is an efficient language-learning tool.  With the help of special tutor software, the teacher can create exercises tailored to the level of each class.

Software training (computer classes)

This classes, especially Microsoft Office software, are given in French.  One computer for each student, all courses are based on practical exercises to master the software needed in working situations.
